There
are two classes of paid membership, regular and associate:
Regular
Membership -- Any company whose business includes
publishing of newspapers, magazines, books or other
periodicals is eligible for regular membership. This
includes its headquarters,
service centers and corporate supply companies, as
eligible.
Regular memberships belong to the respective companies and are held on their
behalf by representatives meeting the criteria stated below. There is no
limit for regular memberships held by a company as long as membership dues
are current. The representative with a regular membership has voting privileges
and may hold an office or directorship of the association.
Regular
membership representative criteria: Any company’s employee
who is involved in the purchasing, strategic sourcing,
or materials process, including without imitation,
purchasing, purchasing research, value analysis, inventory
control,
materials
management, supply chain management, or any other activity
or function which is related to the purchasing or materials
process.
Associate
Membership -- An associate membership may be held
by an individual whose business is consulting or
the outsourced management of processes described
in the regular membership
representative criteria above. The associate member
may attend meetings, but cannot vote or hold office
or directorship
in the association.
Membership dues are as follows:

Associate Membership: $100.00/year

Why join the NPMA?
- The NPMA
is an active, growing, professional organization
due to the participation of its members and member
newspapers. Below are some of the benefits to
your newspaper of becoming a member:
Because membership is limited to personnel involved
in and/or responsible for purchasing in the newspaper
industry, we are able to concentrate on issues and
problems unique to the newspaper business.
The study, development, and application of improved
purchasing methods is promoted through conferences,
newsletters, the NPMA web page, and personal communications
with other members.
Attendance at our annual conference is an excellent
way to broaden your experience and meet your colleagues.
One of the highlights of our conference is "Mr. Chairman,
I Have A Question", an interactive session where
members can share their experiences in an open forum.
A bi-monthly newsletter offers members an opportunity
to exchange ideas and provides news of the association
and its members.
All members receive a roster of the membership. NPMA
members are more than happy to discuss concerns and
ideas of mutual interest.
Join NOW! Annual dues can be recouped many times over
by taking advantage of any of the above benefits.
